Road Trip 2012 | iPhoneography
I’m back! Well, I’ve been back from vacation for a few days now, but I’ve been busy catching up with email and getting back into the swing of things. My family took a two week road trip to the east coast visiting friends and family along the way. We made stops in Augusta, Raleigh and Wilmington. Our kiddos got to see old friends, met some new ones, and spent some much needed time with their cousins. I was instagramming our vacation along the way, state by state, and I wanted to show you all some of my favorite iPhone vacation pics.
By the way, if you haven’t already done so, click on the pic below and download my FREE guide, 5 Secrets to Capturing Your Kids With Your iPhone Camera. It’s full of ideas and tips for helping you get some genuinely happy pics of your kids.
iPhoneography: Summer Fun in the Kiddie Pool
It’s no secret that I love my iPhone camera. But you know what? It still continues to amaze me the more I use it. Did you know that sucker takes pictures fast? I mean it has a faster fps (frames per second) than nearly all point-and-shoot cameras. That’s insane! Anyway, I decided to get a few pics of my kids playing in the kiddie pool yesterday and I just loved the results. The iPhone did great capturing the moving water and my boy in mid air. And, of course, I ran the images through Instagram for the groovy processing.

iPhoneography : My Little Skater Boy
Yesterday my son asked me if I had blogged his skateboard pictures yet. After the initial shock of my kid asking about my little photo blog that I didn’t realize he knew or cared anything about, I realized that I totally should blog his pictures. You see, he’s excited about these pictures because he just got this skateboard for his birthday. I hadn’t blogged about his birthday yet because I was planning on dragging him out for birthday pictures (which I will still do) with his brand new skateboard in tow. These iPhone snaps are from his very first ride on any skateboard, ever. I fully expected him to rock at skateboarding because he has crazy awesome balance and because, well, I don’t know, I just did. But, never in a million years did I expect him to just hop on and start skating like he knew what he was doing. I saw him fall exactly one time that first day and that was only after I heard the words “Hey Mom, look! I’m gonna do an awesome trick.” **CRASH**
Have I mentioned how much I love my iPhone for taking pictures? No? Oh, well I super love my iPhone for taking pictures. There, I said it.
